Pastors are here for you

During this uncertain time, we want to make sure that you know the pastors at Maple Grove are here for you. If you need to speak with a pastor, please email them, and they will get back to you promptly.

LMC BENEVOLENCE FUND Several of our smaller under-resourced churches in Lancaster Mennonite Conference are experiencing severe financial needs. If you want to contribute directly to the conference instead of through Maple Grove's fund, checks can be written and sent to:• LMC, 2160 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602 Attn: Coronavirus Relief Fund, or,
• Use the Donate tab found on the LMC website lmcchurches.org and go to the Coronavirus Relief Fund to make contributions electronically.
A Deacon's Fund Committee is providing oversight to these contributions.

SEWING CIRCLE has been canceled for the month of May. Stay tuned for news about June's gathering.

BUILDING ACCESS

Due to the "Shelter in Place" please do not stop by the church building. Some folks may have stopped in to drop off offerings in the offering boxes. While we appreciate your faithful giving, please know that the church is financially sound and we need to limit access to the building to only the church staff for their safety.  This will also keep the building virus free for when we are able to reassemble.

BENEVOLENCE FUND

We are grateful that many of you are eager to share your financial resources to aid some of our local families in need – both within Maple Grove as well as through some of our community agencies that are already supported by the church. If you are interested in sharing in some of these needs, please note on your offering envelope or on your on-line giving that it is for the “Benevolence Fund.”  We ask also that you please write separate checks for the church budget and the benevolence fund to keep our accounting in order. Benevolent needs will then be determined and distributed directly by the pastors with the assistance of the leadership team. We want to thank you in advance for your generosity in helping with these needs.

ANNIVERSARY CONGRATULATIONS!

MISSIONS NEWS

We have heard from many of our missionaries locally and abroad. The Randy U family is sheltering in place and Randy continues teaching school online. Dale M with YWAM was able to return on one of the last flights allowed out of Chile while cutting short his dental impact trip. CRU leaders are leading Bible Studies online with college students.

THANK YOU Vernon & Mildred U send a heartfelt thank you for the many cards they received and the care shown by Maple Grove friends. They have both returned home from rehab and continue their recovery with the help of their family.

OUR SYMPATHIES to those who have recently lost loved ones.

Moe & Laura Stoltzfus: Laura's brother, Maynard Engel passed away April 15.

Ken & Marilyn Umble: Marilyn's father, Howard Rheinheimer died April 23.

Bill & Brenda Tomlinson: Brenda's father, Sherman McLucas passed away April 25.

Please keep these families in your prayers especially during these challenging days of trying to plan services.
